Officials with the Atlantic County Department of Health reported 38 new cases of COVID-19 Monday with no new deaths.

The 38 new cases were among 18 men (ages 25 to 94) and 20 women (ages 15 to 85).

The countywide total now stands at 1,816 cases, 112 deaths, and 501 residents cleared as recovered. To date, Atlantic County has tested 1,342 residents with 26% being confirmed positive.

Today's positive cases per town/township:
Pleasantville - 10
Atlantic City - 8
Egg Harbor City, Egg Harbor Twp., Galloway Twp., Hamilton Twp. - 3 each
Absecon, Hammonton, Mullica Township - 2 each
Somers Point, Ventnor City - 1 each

This past weekend, the county reported a total of 85 new COVID-19 cases, including a one-month-old infant who is fighting the virus. Four more deaths were also reported. Three of the four fatalities were among residents of long-term care facilities, including a 93-year-old Galloway Township woman and two Hammonton residents, a 79-year-old man and an 88-year-old woman. The fourth fatality was a 64-year-old woman from Atlantic City. All four individuals had pre-existing medical conditions, according to officials.
