The Christmas shopping season is almost here and for many people, it's also the time of year to go shopping for the sports fans in their life.

Maybe you have a sibling who loves Jason Kelce or a cousin from Ohio who you only see once a year but you remember they are a Joe Burrow fan.

But are you ready for the cost of supplying your friends and family with clothing so they can represent their favorite team?

Well, Oddspedia analyzed every NFL team's merchandise and calculated the average cost of purchasing T-shirts, sweatshirts, team jerseys, and hats.

They used the prices from NFLShop.com to rank what NFL teams have the most expensive merchandise.

The bad news for Eagles fans is that Philadelphia has the most expensive team gear with the average cost of a team jersey, t-shirt, sweatshirt, and team hat totaling $308.46 for a combined purchase.

The Eagles' team gear average total is one of only three teams that are over $300 with the Detroit Lions in second place ($306.23) and the San Francisco 49ers in third place ($300.05).

For comparison, Cowboys jerseys average $136.19 and the Pittsburgh Steelers team jersey is averaging $141.49 at the NFL Shop online.
