• Police in Bridgeton are investigating a deadly shooting Wednesday night
  • Officers were called to a home on Nicholas Street
  • A 42-year-old man was killed

A 42-year-old Cumberland County man was fatally shot Wednesday night.

Bridgeton Police say the scene unfolded just before 9:00 at a home on Nicholas Street.

Cops who were called to the scene found 42-year-old Jamille Wright suffering from two apparent gunshot wounds. Officers immediately administered life-saving efforts, and he was taken to Bridgeton Hospital-Inspira; however, he died from his injuries a short time later.

The investigation into this incident is being conducted by the Bridgeton Police Department's Criminal Investigation Bureau and the Cumberland County Prosecutor's Office. No arrests have yet been made.
