Cape May Court House, N.J. — Authorities in Cape May County have issued a serious warning following a recent surge of drug overdoses in the area.

Five Overdoses Reported Within 24 Hours

Cape May County Prosecutor Jeffrey Sutherland said that within 24 hours between June 11th and 12th, there were five drug-related overdoses, one of which was fatal.

It's not yet known if there is a connection between the five; however, law enforcement is seeing an adulteration of the street drug supply, specifically suspected heroin and Fentanyl, where the overall toxicity is unknown and potentially lethal.
