Car Flips Off NJ Turnpike Exit After Police Chase
MOUNT HOLLY — A police pursuit ended with a car flipped over on the New Jersey Turnpike on Tuesday afternoon.
A 30 mile pursuit that began at Exit 8A in Jamesburg continued southbound and ended at Exit 5 in Mount Holly, according to State Police spokesman Lawrence Peele, who was still gathering information on the circumstances and details of the chase Tuesday afternoon.
Peele said the lone occupant of the car being pursued was in custody.
The exit ramp at Exit 5 was blocked, creating a multi-mile southbound delay.
6 ABC Action News's view of the crash scene from a helicopter showed the car was heavily damaged. The northbound exit ramp was unaffected.
