This evening, Gov. Chris Christie will return to WPG for "Ask the Governor," hosted by Eric Scott. Tune in at 7PM.

The governor is in the final year of his administration, with would-be successors fighting to make their names known. His lieutenant governor, Kim Guadagno — whom Christie has not endorsed — this week released a property tax plan she says would save middle class and working class homeowners as much as $3,000 a year. Many of Christie's own proposals aimed at cutting spending and reducing taxes never got through the state legislature.

Christie himself now proposing to increase and expand fees by more than $20 million to support the budget of the state Department of Law and Public Safety. Those include extra fees for phone service, for motor vehicle fines and for background checks.

Christie's now halfway through a self-imposed 100-day challenge to reform school funding in New Jersey, but there's still no consensus proposal or legislation on the table.

The governor will be taking your calls at 800-283-1015.
