Cops: 4-year-old, Running in Street, Hit by Car in Williamstown
A 4-year-old boy, who was apparently running in the middle of a busy street in Williamstown, was seriously injured Monday night when he was hit by a car.
According to NJ.com, Monroe Township Police say the child was running southbound in the northbound lane of North Main Street near Cross Keys Avenue around 6:40 Monday night when he was hit by car being driven by a 44-year-old man from Sewell.
Police say the driver of the car that struck the child remained at the scene.
The Courier-Post reports the boy was taken to Cooper Hospital's trauma center in Camden. His condition was not known as of Tuesday night.
