Cops: Mays Landing Man Arrested for Robbing Ventnor Liquor Store

Cops in Ventnor say a man from Mays Landing has been arrested for robbing North Beach Liquors in Ventnor Tuesday evening.

According to the Ventnor Police Department, an off-duty Atlantic City police officer called 911 around 5PM Tuesday to report a robbery at the liquor store on Ventnor Avenue. The officer was able to provide a detailed description of the suspect and the direction he ran. Responding Ventnor officers were able to quickly track-down 39-year-old Siewon Nimley of Mays Landing.

Cops say an investigation determined that Nimley assaulted a store clerk and stole cash from the register before fleeing. No weapon was used. During the assault, both Nimley and the clerk sustained minor injuries.

Nimley was charged with robbery, simple assault, possession of a CDS, and possession of drug paraphernalia, and taken to the Atlantic County Justice Facility.
