Do You Know This Man? NJ Police Need Help
Authorities in North Jersey are dealing with a mystery man and turning to the public for assistance.
The unidentified man was found wandering in Newark's Penn Station on February 13 of this year.
The man was taken to Newark Beth Israel Medical Center and Children's Hospital of New Jersey where officials have been unable to identify him.
They believe the man is in his late 60s or early 70s and only speaks Spanish.
The man, they say, identifies as being of Cuban descent.
This is a sad case and somewhat unusual.
Our homeless shelters take in people from all backgrounds and many have psychological or as is probably the case in this instance, neurological problems that make identification difficult.
It's more common for family and friends to be searching for missing loved ones.
The hospital is asking anyone who may have information to please call the Newark Beth Israel’s Case Management Office at 973-926-7278.
Many cases haven't been solved right here in South Jersey.
The hospital has put out its message in Spanish, hoping that perhaps someone in the Cuban community may see it.
