Driver Crashes into 3 Cars and a Fire Hydrant in EHT, Charged with DWI
A Galloway Township man is in trouble with the law after cops say he crashed into three cars and a fire hydrant in Egg Harbor Township Saturday afternoon.
EHT Police say the scene unfolded just before 5:30 Saturday evening. Cops say 40-year-old Randy Gibbs of Galloway was traveling southbound on Hingston Avenue at a high rate of speed when he ran a red light and hit the back of a van that was being driven by 52-year-old Albert Ragozzino of Mullica Hill. Gibbs' car then hit a pick-up truck being driven by 59-year-old David Zamoznick of Bayville, then Gibbs' car continued into the parking lot of the Tilton Inn where he hit a fire hydrant and another car.
Luckily, everyone that was involved only sustained minor injuries. As for Gibbs, police say he was arrested and charged with driving while impaired. Gibbs was issued multiple motor vehicle summonses and criminal charges are pending further investigation.
