Driver Killed After a Hitting Tree Saturday Morning in Vineland, NJ
Authorities in Vineland say one person was killed in a single-vehicle crash early Saturday morning.
According to the Vineland Police Department, officers responded to the area of West Walnut Road and Lilac Drive at around 2:20 early Saturday morning for the report of a car that had hit a tree.
Police say a preliminary investigation revealed that a, "Volkswagen Jetta was traveling east on West Walnut Road approaching Lilac Drive where it left the roadway for an unknown reason and struck a tree on the south side of road."
The driver, who was not identified in a press release, was seriously injured and flown to Cooper Trauma Center in Camden where he later died from his injuries.
