Authorities in Egg Harbor Township say they have caught up with a man who allegedly threatened employees of a local car repair shop.

Back on March 6th, several officers with the EHT Police Department responded to Monro Muffler Brake & Service, just off the corner of Tilton Road and Hingston Avenue, for a report of a dispute.

Information was provided that a male accused had a gun and made verbal threats to employees during a dispute.

Officers eventually located 32-year-old Trasaan Jackson of Egg Harbor Township after he left the scene in a vehicle.

Detective Robert Harte, of the Egg Harbor Township Criminal Investigation Bureau, as part of the follow-up investigation, located a handgun in the vehicle. Jackson was charged on a warrant complaint with Terroristic Threats, Unlawful Possession of a Handgun, Possession of a Handgun for Unlawful Purposes, Certain Persons not to Possess a Weapon and Possession of a Large Capacity Magazine.

Initial attempts to locate Jackson, after charges were filed, were unsuccessful, however, last week, Jackson was arrested on the outstanding warrant by members of the Atlantic City Police Department.

He was turned over to the Egg Harbor Township Police Department and is now being held in the Atlantic County Justice Facility.

The public is reminded that charges are accusations and all persons are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
