The Egg Harbor Township, New Jersey Police Department has confirmed that there was a major crash involving a truck and an E-bike.

The crash occurred on Sunday, June 21, 2026 and resulted in life-threatening injuries to the E bike driver, who was not wearing a helmet, according to the Egg Harbor Township Police Department.

The Egg Harbor Township Police Department said:

On Sunday, June 21, 2026, at 11:56 a.m., officers responded to the area of the Black Horse Pike and Farr Avenue, in the Cardiff section of Egg Harbor Twp., for a motor vehicle crash, pick-up truck versus E-bike. The vehicle, a 2017 Toyota Tundra, was operated by Thomas Lang, 75 years of age, from Mays Landing, was traveling eastbound on the Black Horse Pike and making a left turn onto Farr Avenue, said the Egg Harbor Township Police Department.

The E-bike Driver

Is Robert Fitzmaier, 26 years old, from Sicklerville, New Jersey.

The Egg Harbor Township Police Department has confirmed that Fitzmaier was traveling eastbound on the westbound shoulder of the Black Horse Pike, as he approached the intersection of Farr Avenue.

This took place as the truck was making its turn onto Farr Avenue.

What Happened Next …

The Egg Harbor Township Police Department said that: “The E-Bike collided with the driver side of the Tundra causing life-threatening injuries to Mr. Fitzmaier, who was not wearing a helmet. He was treated at the scene by EHT EMS and Atlanticare Paramedics. He was transported to Atlanticare Regional Medical Center City Campus Trauma Unit for further medical care,” said the Egg Harbor Township Police Department.
