Grim Anniversary of Finding Women’s Bodies in West Atlantic City

12 years ago today, November 20, 2006, a brutal and horrifying scene was uncovered in a drainage ditch behind the Golden Key Motel in West Atlantic City. The bodies of four women who had been murdered and dumped on the tract of land between the Black Horse Pike and the Atlantic City Expressway were found.

The gruesome finding started the investigation into a suspected serial killer prowling the streets of Atlantic City who killed Molly Dilts, 20, and three other women, Kim Raffo, 35; Barbara Breidor, 42; and Tracy Ann Roberts, 23. The women had all struggled with addiction and worked as prostitutes.

The murders cased national attention, with the suspect being dubbed the "Eastbound Strangler" -- because of the way the women's bodies had been positioned, with their heads pointed east, toward Atlantic City.

Today, on the 12th anniversary of finding those bodies, Atlantic County Prosecutor Damon G. Tyner insisted the case was not a "cold case" and put out an appeal to anyone who had any information about the women's murders.

Somebody knows something about this case. Somebody has to know something...they will not be forgotten.
