
83-year-old Man Killed in Hamilton Twp., NJ, Crash
An 83-year-old man was killed in a crash in Hamilton Township on Monday morning.
Authorities say the accident happened around 11:40 on Harding Highway in the area of 19th Street.
Victim Identified as Mays Landing Man
According to the Township of Hamilton Police Department, a preliminary investigation revealed that a 2020 Cadillac Escalade being driven by Leonard Spaeth, Jr., of Mays Landing, was heading westbound on Harding Highway when he left the roadway and collided with multiple trees.
Spaeth was taken to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead.
Traffic was diverted for approximately two hours while the crash was investigated and cleared.
Assisting at the scene were the Township of Hamilton Rescue Squad, AtlantiCare paramedics, the Mays Landing and Laureldale Fire Departments, and the Atlantic County Sheriff's Office.
Police Ask Witnesses to Come Forward
