Hammonton Man Seriously Injured in Hamilton Twp. Crash

A man from Hammonton was seriously injured when his car crashed into a tree Wednesday afternoon in Hamilton Township.

Authorities say 48-year-old Raymond Scipione of Hammonton was driving northbound on Weymouth Road; he was passing another vehicle when he lost control of his car and struck a tree around 3:00 Wednesday afternoon.

Scipione had to be extricated from his car and was then flown to ARMC-City for treatment of serious injuries.

The investigation is ongoing and anyone with information on the crash is asked to contact the Township of Hamilton Police Department.
