Holy Spirit High School Running Back Makes College Choice

Holy Spirit High School running back Patrick "Cheeks" Smith is heading out west.

The junior running back has commuted to continue his football career after next football season in in Fort Collins, CO, playing for the Rams.

Smith had offers from Central Michigan, Bucknell, Lehigh, Yale, and many others but made the decision to play at Colorado State, a member of the Mountain West Conference.

"I would like to thank every coach from youth to high school for believing in me and developing me in to the player I am today," Smith said in a twitter post.

The 5-11, 185-pound running back had 1,338 yards and 19 touchdowns, which included a 367-yard, six touchdown playoff game against Hudson Catholic.
