On behalf of WPG Talk Radio 95.5 Program Director Chris Coleman, I want to take this opportunity to regale about yesterday’s “Atlantic City Airshow - A Salute To Those Who Serve.”

It was a spectacular day in every conceivable way.

The weather was glorious. A perfect 80 degrees. 10-mile visibility. 8 miles-per-hour wind out of the South/South East kept you refreshed, but, not windblown.

My fair Irish skin is burned, but, I feel great about what we all accomplished together.

Michael Chait, President of The Greater Atlantic City Chamber of Commerce, and all of his working partners did a fabulous advanced planning job; especially impressive as their overall planning phase was dramatically impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic.

Regarding our Townsquare Media Atlantic City Team; They were all simply amazing.

I want to mention by name: President Michael Ruble; Program Director, Chris Coleman; Director of Marketing & Special Events, Jennifer Doughten Smith and our on-site producer, Arielle Reamer.

All were instrumental in so many material ways during our 9 hours, uninterrupted broadcast

We owe it all to you, our valued listeners and digital content readers.

None of this would be possible without you.

Special kudos to David Schultz Airshows. David and his team, including Airshow Announcer Howdy McCann, Jr. are exceptional professionals.

The profound apparatus, managed by highly skilled military and civilian professionals put on a master class performance.

It’s actually a privilege to sit on a stage at airshow central, directly across from historic Atlantic City Boardwalk Hall, and watch the precision and human skill sets demonstrated on this mid-week Wednesday, in August each and every year.

The Atlantic City Airshow (since 2003) is the largest and most successful mid-week airshow in America and one of the largest in North America.

During our live WPG broadcast, David Schultz called the Atlantic City Airshow … “The Rose Bowl of Airshows in America.”

When Schultz said that … he actually gave me “chills.”

I want to sincerely thank you for your listenership and readership.

We promise to never take it, or, you for granted. Thank you for making yesterday such a special day for our region.
