
Husband and wife dead in Cumberland County, NJ, murder-suicide
A husband and wife are dead following an apparent murder-suicide in Cumberland County over the weekend.
State troopers were called to a home on Roadstown Road in Hopewell Township, just west of Bridgeton, at about 7:45 Saturday evening, July 27th.
At the scene, authorities found a 52-year-old woman and a 53-year-old man dead from apparent gunshot wounds.
Initial observations, which are subject to autopsy results, revealed that the woman was shot by the man and then the man died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound.

Troopers examined the scene and found no signs of forced entry or foul play by a third party.
The names of the victims were not released by police due to privacy prohibitions in domestic violence cases.
