Atlantic County Sheriff Warns About Recorded Scam Call

The Atlantic County Sheriff's Office wants to make you aware of a scam phone caller pretending to be with the Sheriff's Office.

Sheriff's Office Points Out Scam Call

The person recording the call says he is Deputy Turner with the Atlantic County Sheriff's Office and that he is calling because you failed to appear for federal grand jury duty recently.

To avoid possible legal consequences, you are instructed to call the phone number he gives you.

The Sheriff's Office wants you to know that they do not have a "Deputy Turner", and they advise you not to call the number given or follow up on this call in any way.
