Popular Ocean City Boardwalk Taqueria Is Opening a New Somers Point Location

A popular spot that is known for its modern, authentic Mexican food is coming to the Mainland.

From the Ocean City Boardwalk to Somers Point

Mr Gordo’s Taqueria, which currently serves fresh tacos and Mexican street food daily on the Ocean City Boardwalk, is coming to 661 New Road in Somers Point, bringing classic Mexican staples including tacos, burritos, quesadillas, and nachos.

They have a kiosk location they share with Deadend Bakehouse, which also now has a Somers Point location at 746 Shore Road, which opened back in early March.

They also had a location at 5223 Ventnor Ave in Ventnor, which was directly across the street from the Wawa, next door to Sack O' Subs, on the same block as the Ventnor Square theater.  They did not reopen after COVID, meaning the Somers Point spot will be their main spot.

A Historic Somers Point Restaurant Location Revived

This new location has been brought back to life in Somers Point, and has gone through a ton of changes over the years.

The History of 661 New Road

It was most recently Casadores Mexican Restaurant.  Before that it was Buon Appetito Ristorante and Pizzeria, a Greek restaurant called Katina's Pizzeria and Godfather's Pizzeria (Godfather's at the Shore) before that.

While there is no exact opening date, we will keep you posted once that information is available.
