A legendary bar and restaurant at 236 Bayview Drive in Strathmere is for sale.

Twisties Tavern on the Bay is on the block, according to a report by NJ Advanced Media as co-owner Denise Riordan, who owns the bar with her husband Gary, tells the outlet that they are retiring and will be selling the bar, liquor license, and the land.

The bar originally opened up as a speakeasy and dates back to 1929. It has gone through various name changes, but came up with Twisties, for the original owners' nephew, Oliver.

Some signature items you'll see when you visit? An old-fashioned jukebox machine that plays music and various coconut heads are situated throughout the bar and restaurant.

Make sure you stop out and get everything from pizza to burgers, and all your favorite appetizers, including their Twisties nachos.

They have indoor and outdoor seating, and their fall hours through October, they open Thursday at 5 pm and Friday, Saturday, and Sunday at noon.
