Lighthouse in Cumberland County Undergoes Overhaul

The East Point Lighthouse located on Delaware Bay in Cumberland County is currently undergoing work to save it from erosion.

Pictures have been shared and tweeted by The Courier Post depicting the progress that's been done so far in an effort to make sure the 100-year-old structure doesn't eventually have a new home at the bottom of the bay.

While the East Point lighthouse isn't on the beach of the Atlantic, it's the second oldest lighthouse in the entire state. It's history is worth preserving, so it's nice to see an effort finally being made to make sure that happens.
