Lightning Strike Causes Power Outages, Car Fire in Ocean City

People in South Jersey were in for quite the storm Tuesday night.

In Ocean City, a bolt of lightning hit a utility pole that caused wires to come down on a car which caught on fire around 11PM.

It happened at 27th Street near Asbury Avenue. Because of the downed utility pole, around 15 electric customers lost power.

There was a second car that was also damaged during the incident.

According to officials, no injuries were reported.
