
Man Arrested Following House Fire in Hamilton Township
One person has been arrested following a suspicious house fire that killed several animals Friday afternoon in Hamilton Township.
Police and fire crews responded to a house that was fully engulfed in flames on the 5800 block of Holly Street around 4:30 Friday afternoon. A dog was found deceased on the property as well as several cats that were inside the residence.
Following an investigation, police arrested 29-year-old Janrv Bacolod who lived at the house. Bacolod was charged with 2nd degree arson and 3rd degree animal cruelty. He was transported to the Atlantic County Justice Facility on $100,000 bail.
Officers say the incident was the result of a domestic disturbance.
