The Atlantic City, New Jersey Police Department arrested a Missouri man, who had threatened murder and suicide with a gun.

The Atlantic City Police Department has released the following information:

On August 17, 2024, at 9:30 PM, patrol officers responded to a domestic dispute in the beach block of lowa Avenue at a motel. It was reported that James Pace was engaged in an argument with a woman he was in a dating relationship with when he threatened to shoot and kill her and himself. The threats occurred while he was in possession of a firearm. Arriving officers located Pace and arrested him without incident. A loaded handgun was recovered along with additional ammunition. Pace was transported to the AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center, City Division, for evaluation, said the Atlantic City Police.

ARRESTED: James Pace, 75, of Blue Springs, Missouri.

CHARGES: Possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose and terroristic threats.

Pace is currently lodged in the Atlantic County Jail.
