When the best player also happens to be from our backyard, we tend to listen even more.

Millville native Mike Trout finally spoke on the Houston Astros' sign-stealing scandal that has rocked the sport.

Trout, who is typically is pretty quiet, spoke up and didn't hold back.

“They cheated...I don’t agree with the punishment...I lost respect for some of those guys.” “Going up to the plate knowing what’s coming...that would be a lot of fun.”

“It’s sad for baseball. It’s tough. They cheated. I don’t agree with the punishments.”

The 2019 A.L. MVP hit .291 with a career-high 45 homers, 104 RBI and 11 stolen bases in 134 games for the Anaheim Angels.
