New Atlantic County, NJ Young Republican Chair is Selected

Atlantic County, New Jersey Republican Chairman Don Purdy has named Absecon resident Madalyn Starkman to the new position of Atlantic County Republican Chair.

The goal of this new position and younger demographic (organization) is to cultivate, develop and recruit yrs next generation of Atlantic County registered Republicans.

"Here in Atlantic County the Republican Party has been tremendously successful in recent years and Maddy has played a key role in that especially when it came to helping Republicans flip her hometown of Absecon," said Purdy. "She's a hard worker who has continually proven herself when called upon and I look forward to working with her to bring back an Atlantic County Young Republican organization that's solely focused on growing our party and winning elections,” said Purdy.

I'd like to thank Chairman Purdy for this exciting opportunity and his commitment to electing our party's next generation of leaders, said Starkman. Growing up, I was often criticized for following current events and being interested in politics so I want to encourage more Republicans my age to step up and get involved in their communities. Now is the time, said Starkman.

Starkman appears to be cut right out of the Amy Gatto mold.

Gatto became interested in elective government service in grade school. Gatto went on to a distinguished 20-year career in elective office service … rising to the rank of Chair of the Atlantic County Board of Commissioners.

The new Atlantic County Young Republican Committee will have its inaugural event on April 22, 2025 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at JD's Pub in Smithville, New Jersey.
