New Jersey United States Congressman Jeff Van Drew, R-2 has earned a powerful House Committee Chairmanship.

Van Drew has been appointed to serve as the Chairman of the Subcommittee on Oversight for the 119th Congress.

This us a consequential committee that  will maintain its jurisdictional oversight over the following agencies:

  • Department of Justice (DOJ).
  • The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI).
  • The Department of Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA).
  • The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives (ATF).
  • The Office of the Inspector General (OIG).
  • The Federal Bureau of Prisons (BOP).
  • And, others.

"It is an honor to be selected by Chairman Jordan to lead the House Judiciary Subcommittee on Oversight," said Congressman Van Drew. "We have a big job ahead of us to restore trust in federal agencies, investigate government overreach, and protect the freedoms of all Americans.”
