New Jersey Ranked 22nd In Nation For Hiring In 2022: PA 8th Worst
In a just-released survey conducted by WalletHub.com, New Jersey ranks 22nd in America for hiring struggles.
Pennsylvania fared even worse, finishing in the top 10 worst at #8.

One thing is clear, America is experiencing the worst return to the workforce with respect to the overall work participation rate since World War II.
Millions of Americans have left the workplace during the COVID-19 pandemic. Many have yet to return. Some never will.
New Jersey finishing at # 22 isn’t absolutely terrible, but, it’s not good.
Neighboring Pennsylvania’s finish at # 8 is very bad and demonstrates that they have a lot of work to do.
A lot of attention is paid every month to the unemployment rate. Very little attention is paid to the work participation rate. This is the number of people who are actually working.
The work participation rate really matters, as it directly illustrates whether or not the various business sectors have enough employees to deliver the proper services to the American people.
