New Jerseyans Get More Time to Apply for Sandy Aid
New Jersey residents and business owners are getting another month to apply for federal assistance for damage related to Superstorm Sandy.
Gov. Chris Christie on Tuesday announced the deadline is now April 1 to apply for register with the Federal Emergency Management Agency or the Small Business Administration for aid.
Before the extension, time to register had been set to run out Friday.
Officials are encouraging those affected by the storm to register so they can get the federal aid they're entitled to.
