NJSP Pursuit Ends in Vineland Cemetery, Two Arrested
Published reports say two people were arrested after a police pursuit involving state troopers ended in a cemetery in Vineland last week.
The Daily Journal reports 20-year-old Anthony Jeannette of Millville, who was driving, was charged with aggravated assault on a law enforcement officer, eluding, resisting arrest, and receiving stolen property. 27-year-old Kristy Taylor of Bridgeton, a passenger, was charged with eluding, resisting arrest, and receiving stolen property.
According to New Jersey State Police, investigators responded to rural Fairfield Township on the morning of October 6th after they received a report of a suspicious vehicle. As troopers approached, two people standing outside the vehicle reportedly jumped in and fled. A pursuit ensued, which eventually ended in Sacred Heart Cemetery in Vineland when the two suspects fled on foot. Jeannette and Taylor were located and arrested.
The vehicle they were in was reported as stolen from Fairfield Township, troopers said. Additional charges are pending as an investigation into the incident continues.
Earlier this year, troopers arrested Jeannette and Taylor for allegedly stealing a pick-up truck and $5,000 worth of power tools from two properties in Lawrence Township.
