Being an anti-President Donald Trump Republican candidate for Governor of New Jersey is the worst possible platform in 2025.

President Trump is the widely popular, two-term (45th & 47th) President of The United Stares, who just won the national popular vote and an Electoral College landslide victory on November 5, 2024.

President Trump fared better than any Republican candidate for President in the state of New Jersey since President George H.W. Bush in 1992.

Yet, this is exactly the decided campaign platform of New Jersey State Senator Jon Bramnick, R-NJ-21.

Bramnick is an unapologetic, rabidly anti-Trump Republican candidate for Governor of New Jersey in 2025,

Bramnick is the Chris Christie endorsed candidate in the Republican Primary election of 2025.

The anti-Trump campaign platform failed miserably for Christie, and, I guarantee that Bramnick will fail just as spectacularly here in New Jersey, as Christie did nationally.

It’s not about personalities. It’s math. You simply cannot be an anti-Trump Republican candidate and stand any chance of winning a Republican Primary election.

It has never been a winning strategy at any time since Trump first ran for President in 2016.

Jack Ciattarelli will be very difficult for any Republican (or, Democrat) candidate to defeat in 2025.

Ciatterelli earned 48.5 percent of the popular vote in the 2021 election. That’s a lot of hard-earned credibility for Ciattarelli.

Ciatterelli won at the polls on Election Day. He lost the election of 2021 during the early voting and vote by mail portions of the election to Governor Phil Murphy.

Republicans have since fixed this electoral deficiency and have demonstrated success in both early voting and vote by mail over the last four years.

When Bramnick is not practicing being a serious state legislator, he is an actual stand-up comedian.

There is a silver lining for Bramnick. Following his failed campaign for Governor, he will have a lot of new material for his next comedy sketches.
