Meanwhile, NJ.com reports a 34-year-old man from Millville was hurt in an accident on Route 55 in Gloucester County.

That crash happened just after 4:30 AM on the southbound side of the highway near mile marker 39 in Franklin Township.

State troopers say the man drove off of the road and struck a tree.

He was taken to a local hospital for treatment of serious injuries.

Woman killed in Vineland

Those two accidents happened just after a Vineland woman was killed and her passenger seriously injured in a crash Wednesday night.

22-year-old Maria Vazquez was driving southbound on South Orchard Road in Vineland when, for an unknown reason, her car ran off the roadway, struck several trees, and overturned.

Vazquez was ejected from the car; she was taken to Vineland Inspira Hospital where she was pronounced dead.

The passenger, 38-year-old Rubisel Lopez-Uribe of Vineland, was airlifted to Cooper University Hospital in Camden where he was last reported to be in critical condition.
