Pedestrian killed, driver leaves scene of crash in Galloway, NJ

Galloway Township Police are investigating the death of a woman hit by a vehicle on the White Horse Pike on Thursday evening. Police say the driver left the scene before they arrived.

Driver Leave Scene of Deadly Rt. 30 Crash

At about 7:54 PM Thursday, Police in Galloway Township responded to a call on Route 30 westbound near 7th Avenue where a pedestrian had been hit by a vehicle.

According to police, by the time they arrived, the vehicle's driver had left the scene.

A Barnegat Woman Died in the Crash

The pedestrian killed in the crash was identified as Angeletta Sheppard, 33 of Barnegat.

Police Ask For Information

Officials from the Atlantic County Prosecutor's Office Crash Investigation Unit and the Galloway Township Police are requesting information about this deadly crash and the driver's identity.
