31-year-old Steven Stallworth of Pleasantville pleaded guilty Monday to aggravated manslaughter and desecrating human remains in the death Monroeville resident Tara Alicea four years ago.

Alicea's body was found in a wooded area in Egg Harbor Township.

According to Atlantic County prosecutors, the 30-year-old's body was discovered by a hunter in January, 2014, in a suitcase.

Alicea was finally identified after pictures of her tattoos were released. Officials from the New Jersey Medical Examiner's Office said she was strangled between July and December, 2013.

Stallworth also plead guilty on Monday to desecrating human remains

Stallworth is facing up to 28 years in prison, prosecutors say. He must serve at least 85% of the term first before even discussing an early release.
