Former New Jersey Assemblyman Vince Polistina has long been a prodigious fundraiser.

The current election cycle is no exception. Polistina leads all New Jersey District 2 legislative candidates in fundraising, according to the 29-day, pre-election campaign finance report.

Polistina has raised a whisper under $ 140,000. Polistina has raised roughly ten times more than his Republican primary election opponent Seth Grossman.

Polistina running mate, Claire Swift is next with $ 77,000. You almost can’t overstate how impressive Swift has been thus far in Decision 2021.

Polistina and Swift running mate Don Guardian has raised approximately $ 12,500.

To be fair, Swift has substantially overachieved, while Guardian is thus far falling short in fundraising.

Current New Jersey Assemblyman Vince Mazzeo has raised $ 30,000. Assemblyman John Armato has raised $ 12,000 and the third member of their ticket, Atlantic County Commissioner Caren Fitzpatrick has raised $ 6,000.

Polistina has more than $ 100,000 on hand.

The Democrats have also raised $ 100,000 from their joint campaign committee.

For more than 15 years, the local Democrats have also benefited from millions of dollars in each election cycle that comes from outside sources.

The Democrats big money consistently comes in late, (legally) avoiding having to report the money until after the General Election.
