Senator Graham and Talk Radio Host Guy Benson Are COVID-19 Positive
The COVID-19 Delta variant is wicked and it doesn’t discriminate.
United States Senator Lindsey Graham and Fox News Radio nationally syndicated radio talk show host Guy Benson have both announced today that they have tested positive for COVID-19.
Both men are wisely fully vaccinated and are presently presenting with mild symptoms.
New Jersey Governor Phil Murphy earlier today announced new mandatory vaccination or regular testing requirements.
It’s official. Every health care worker in New Jersey's private and public health care facilities, along with those who work at state prisons and county jails, will be required to get vaccinated against COVID-19 by September 7, 2021, or get tested once or twice every week for coronavirus, New Jersey Governor Phil Murphy announced today, Monday, August 2, 2021.
The mandate applies not only to employees of state-owned facilities, such as the state veterans' homes, psychiatric hospitals, and developmental centers, but to privately owned hospitals, nursing homes, and behavioral health care facilities.
"This mandate is the floor," Murphy said. "If we do not see significant increases in vaccination rates among employees in these settings, we are ready and willing to require all staff to be vaccinated as a condition of their employment."
“The delta variant is more contagious and more lethal than previously thought,” Governor Murphy said.
The deadline will be enforced with "no exceptions and no extensions," said Governor Murphy.
Governor Murphy's goal is for 80% to 85% of New Jersey's population to be vaccinated., because of the extremely high rate of transmission regarding the Delta variant.
Earlier today, we wrote an elaborate opinion editorial about COVID-19 and the Delta variant.
The Delta variant is real.
And, it’s really contagious.
