Cops say a woman who was asleep in a vehicle at a fast food restaurant in Millville was arrested over the weekend after they found her to be in possession of illegal drugs.

New Jersey State Police arrested 47-year-old Palmer Fowler of Vineland early Saturday morning in the parking lot of McDonald's on North High Street in the Holly City.

Police say at around 1:30 AM, troopers entered the McDonald's parking lot and they saw a woman sleeping in the driver's seat of a vehicle with no license plates.

Troopers stopped to check on her well-being. While with her, they say they discovered that Fowler was in possession of marijuana. Further investigation revealed that Fowler was also in possession of 40 grams of heroin.

Fowler was arrested without incident and charged with possession of heroin, possession of heroin with intent to distribute, and possession of marijuana. She was released pending a court date.
