Sold in New Jersey: 52,000 Pounds of Chicken Salad and Dip Recalled

Check your refrigerator -- more than 52,000 pounds of chicken salad and dip products, some of which were sold in New Jersey, have been recalled because they could be contaminated with pieces of hard, white plastic.

Massachusetts-based Willow Tree Poultry Farm has recalled the following ready-to-eat products, which were produced between August 10th and 13th, according to the USDA's Food Safety and Inspection Service:

• 5-lb container of “Willow Tree Premium White Meat Caesar Chicken Dip” with sell by dates of 09/03/2021 and 09/06/2021
• 5-lb and 12-oz containers of “Willow Tree Premium White Meat Buffalo Chicken Dip” with sell by dates of 09/03/2021 and 09/05/2021
• 5-lb container of “Willow Tree Premium White Meat Buffalo Chicken Salad” with a sell by date of 09/07/2021
• 15-oz container of “Willow Tree Premium White Meat Buffalo Chicken Salad” with sell by dates of 09/07/2021 and 09/09/2021
• 15-oz container of “Willow Tree Premium White Meat Cranberry Walnut Chicken Salad” with a sell by date of 09/08/2021
• 15-oz container of “Willow Tree Premium White Meat Classic Chicken Salad” with sell by dates of 09/07/2021, 09/08/2021, 09/09/2021, 09/10/2021
• 7.5-oz container of “Willow Tree Premium White Meat Classic Chicken Salad” with sell by dates of 09/07/2021 and 09/09/2021
• 10-lb container of “Willow Tree Premium White Meat Classic Chicken Salad” with a sell by date of 09/08/2021

Officials say the products being recalled have an establishment number of “EST. P-8827” inside the USDA seal on the package.

These products have been shipped to wholesale and retail locations in New Jersey and eight other states in the region. According to their website, some of the company's products are sold in BJs, Whole Foods, and Stop & Shop stores.

The USDA says if you have any of these products, simply throw them out or return them to where you purchased them from for a refund.
