VINELAND — A school bus stolen by a teenager on Sunday was found in the next town over after hitting a guardrail.

State Police told the Courier Post the bus was taken by a 16-year-old teen, who is considered to be a special needs child, around noon Sunday. The teen drove the bus into neighboring Pittsgrove, where it was located on Alvine Road near Landis Avenue.

The teen hit a parked car and a guardrail trying to stop the bus, according to police.

No charges were filed, police said.

The teen was not injured, but was hospitalized as a precaution.
