Russia freed WNBA star Brittney Griner on Thursday in a dramatic high-level prisoner exchange, with the U.S. releasing notorious Russian arms dealer Viktor Bout, American officials said.
Sal Risalvato, executive director of the New Jersey Gasoline, C-Store, Automotive Association, told NJ.com he disagreed with the action, saying "these guys are not Russia."
Amid military aggression in Ukraine, residents and businesses are boycotting Russian-sourced items, in solidarity with those under siege. There's also a proposed ban on NJ business with Russia.
New Jersey lawmakers intend to pass a bill within the next week prohibiting the state and local governments from doing business with companies or banks with Russian interests.
