Teen Fatally Shot in Camden, NJ, Wednesday Afternoon
Detectives are investigating the fatal shooting of an 18-year-old man in Camden Wednesday.
The Camden County Prosecutor's Office says at about 4:15, police responded to the 2700 block of Hayes Avenue for a ShotSpotter activation.
Upon arrival, authorities located a man at 22nd Street and River Avenue who was suffering from an apparent gunshot wound.
The victim, later identified as 18-year-old Jesus Manuel Ortiz-Hernandez of Camden, was transported to Cooper University Hospital where he was pronounced dead a short time later.
This investigation remains active and ongoing.
