MAYS LANDING - Trial looms for three Atlantic City men, charged with first-degree strict liability homicide for the deaths of two heroin-and-fentanyl overdose victims last May.

Romeo Ramone, 57, Christopher Garrett, 54, and William Johnson, 55, are also charged with possession and distribution of heroin and fentanyl, according to Atlantic County Prosecutor Damon G. Tyner's office. All three had their initial court appearances this afternoon in the Mays Landing Courthouse. A detention hearing is scheduled for next week.

Investigators determined that Ramone, Garrett and Johnson supplied the narcotics and chemicals that killed Sealeamyhun Tesdaye, 40, of Atlantic City, and Gabriel Morales-Vega, 32, of Hammonton, on May 2nd.

Ramone is also charged with possession with intent to distribute in a public zone. Garrett is charged with possession with intent to distribute in a public zone and a school zone. Johnson is charged with distribution in a public and school zone.

Charges are accusations. Defendants are presumed innocent unless, and until, found guilty in a court of law.
