Major League Baseball has confirmed that The New York Yankees and Philadelphia Phillies will not play their Monday night game tonight as scheduled.

The game was set to take place at Citizens Bank Park. Yesterday, the Miami Marlins confirmed a COVID-19 outbreak.

The Marlins have had at least 14 individuals test positive since last week.

The Marlins' home opener tonight against the Baltimore Orioles, has also been postponed.

These postponements have occurred just 3 days into the Major League Baseball season.

This is a sobering reminder just how contagious and difficult it will be to complete a professional sports season. Even a mostly non contact sport like baseball.

It really begs the question. How will basketball, football and other contact sports he able to take place during the COVID-19 pandemic?
