
Beloved Diner in New Jersey Closes After Nearly 40 Years
Another generations-old diner in the Garden State has reportedly faded into the history books.
And going by many of the reviews, this place will be missed.
Beloved Diner in NJ Shuts its Doors
According to the Daily Record, the Townsquare Diner on Route 15 in Wharton, Morris County, has closed for good.
Apparently, the diner will be demolished and a new strip mall will be built in its place.
Local Factors May Have Hurt Business
Chatter on a Reddit forum seemed to indicate that a recent nearby problem on Interstate 80 may not have helped matters:
They really got clocked by the sinkhole related closure of Route 80 which caused months of traffic gridlock in the area.
A Fixture for Nearly Four Decades
The diner's website, which is still up, says they were a fixture in the area for almost four decades.
Since 1987, Townsquare Diner has been famous for our generous portions, fresh ingredients, Legendary Cheesecakes and Specialty Desserts.
