Complaints from citizens in Atlantic City lead to two people -- one being a wanted fugitive from Washington, DC -- being arrested late last week.

Atlantic City Police say they received complaints about drugs in the beach block of Ocean Avenue recently. Following the tips, detectives conducted a survellience operation and they came into contact with 22-year-old Messiah Henry of Atlantic City and 35-year-old Deral Green of Washington, DC.

Cops say the two engaged in a drug deal. According to a press release,

As the detectives approached, Green immediately fled but quickly surrendered and was taken in custody without incident. He was found in possession of 208 bags of heroin. Green was also a wanted fugitive from Washington D.C. Henry was arrested and found in possession of 25 bags of heroin.

Henry was charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance, possession with the intent to distribute CDS, and possession with intent to distribute CDS with 500 feet of a public zone. Green was charged with being a fugitive from justice, possession of a controlled dangerous substance, possession with the intent to distribute CDS, and possession with intent to distribute CDS with 500 feet of a public zone. Both men were remanded to the Atlantic County Justice Facility.
