BRIDGETON — Two people were killed in a head-on collision in South Jersey on Saturday.

A Volkswagen driven by Hepafrodito Camposeco-Abarca, 30, of Vineland drifted from the eastbound into the westbound lanes of Route 56 in Bridgeton around 7 p.m. His car drifted into the path of a Ford F150 driven by George Delvalle, 44, of Bridgeton, according to State Police spokesman Trooper Laurence Peele.

Both drivers were killed in the crash.

One of the passengers in the Volkswagen was treated for serious injuries while a second was treated for moderate injuries, according to Peele.

Peele said an investigation continues into what caused Camposeco-Abarca to drift into the opposite lane.
