Two Facing Drug Charges Following Traffic Stop in Wildwood
Two people are facing a list of drug-related charges following a traffic stop in Wildwood Monday night.
According to the Wildwood Police Department, their officers conducted a motor vehicle stop in the 300 west block of Taylor Avenue around 9:30 Monday night. During the stop, officials said, "distribution quantities of narcotics as well as narcotics paraphernalia were recovered." They also found an expandable baton in the vehicle.
The driver, 33-year-old Kevin Finnegan of Villas, who police say is an unemployed laborer, was charged with possession of heroin, possession of heroin with intent to distribute, possession of heroin with intent to distribute within 1000’ of school property, possession of Alprazolam (two counts), possession of Suboxone (two counts), possession of a weapon, possession of prescription legend narcotics (three counts), possession of marijuana, possession of narcotics paraphernalia, and possession of a hypodermic syringe.
The passenger, 29-year-old Jamie Arrington of Middlesex, NJ, who police say is also unemployed, was charged with possession of Adderall, possession of narcotics paraphernalia, and possession of a hypodermic syringe.
Finnegan was incarcerated at the Cape May County Correctional Center; Arrington was released pending a court appearance.
