Two Shootings, Two Wounded in Atlantic City
The Atlantic City Police Department is investigating two weekend shootings where two people were wounded.
Authorities say at around 8:15 Friday night, officers responded to the 1500 block of Drexel Place for a ShotSpotter alert. Shortly after, a 31-year-old shooting victim arrived at AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center-City Division.
On Saturday afternoon at around 1:15 pm, an 18-year-old shooting victim arrived at the medical center after officers responded to a ShotSpotter alert in the 1500 block of Sewell Avenue.
Both victims were treated for non-life threatening injuries.
Anyone with information about either shooting is urged to contact the Atlantic City Police Department's Violent Crimes Unit at (609) 347-5766. Information can be sent via text message to tip411 (847411). Begin the text with "ACPD." All text messages are anonymous.
